Shavuot Schedule for 5774
Erev Shavuot Tuesday evening, June 3rd: Evening services 7:30-8:00 pm (candle lighting at the shul prior to services) Dairy dinner accompanied by Tikkun Laly Shavuot Story telling session, 8:30pm –10:30 pm Followed by singing and dessert
First Day of Shavuot Wednesday morning, 9:00 am, June 4th: First day of services. Main Sanctuary and alternative family service in the Small Chapel from 10:15-10:45am. First Fruits ceremony, blessing of all children before Torah scrolls are returned to the Ark @10:45am. Ice cream dessert served up by the clergy at Kiddush, immediately following services
Second Day of Shavuot Thursday, June 5th Early morning Yizkor service, lay led, 7:00 am. Regular morning Yizkor service, clergy led, 9:00 am (both services in the small chapel)
Join us, Tuesday evening, June 3rd at 7:30 pm for evening services followed by a dairy dinner and dessert in honor of the festival of Shavuot!
Then stay, for our annual Tikkun Laiyl Shavuot! (an extraordinary evening of learning!) This year we will feature, for the first time ever, a “Story teller Shavuot, with various stories, tales, legends and fables shared by Cantor Karavani, Tobi Innerfield, and Rabbi Stanger!
The stories, songs and discussions are meant to be participatory and open to all levels, so come share your own favorite Jewish stories, join with us, and take hold of the tradition of Torah!
